About RateSignalBot (English)
What it is
RateSignalBot is a small, automated program that helps independent hotels compare their room rates with nearby hotels. It is operated by the RateSignal service on behalf of the hotels that use it. It is decision support only; it never changes any prices.
What it reads
- Publicly displayed room rates and availability on hotels' own booking pages, for specific stay dates.
- No personal data. No login or member areas. No forms are submitted beyond the date search any guest would do.
- If a page shows no rooms, we record it as "unavailable for the searched dates". We draw no other conclusion from it.
How it behaves
- It obeys robots.txt, including Crawl-delay.
- One request at a time per site, with pauses between requests and a low hourly limit.
- It identifies itself honestly: the User-Agent is
RateSignalBot/<version>followed by the address of this page. - It never tries to get around a block, CAPTCHA or bot check. If a site blocks it, it stops and backs off.
Slow it down or exclude it
Add a rule for the user-agent token RateSignalBot to the robots.txt of your site. To exclude it entirely:

Nedir?
RateSignalBot, bagimsiz otellerin oda fiyatlarini cevredeki otellerle karsilastirmasina yardim eden kucuk, otomatik bir programdir. Kullanan otellerin adina RateSignal hizmeti tarafindan isletilir. Yalnizca karar destegi saglar; hicbir fiyati degistirmez.
Neyi okur?
- Otellerin kendi rezervasyon sayfalarinda, belirli konaklama tarihleri icin herkese acik olarak gosterilen oda fiyatlarini ve musaitligi.
- Kisisel veri okumaz. Giris veya uye alanlarina girmez. Bir misafirin yapacagi tarih aramasi disinda hicbir form gondermez.
- Bir sayfada oda gorunmuyorsa bunu "aranan tarihler icin musait degil" olarak kaydeder; bundan baska bir sonuc cikarmaz.
Nasil davranir?
- robots.txt kurallarina, Crawl-delay dahil, uyar.
- Her sitede ayni anda tek istek gonderir; istekler arasinda bekler ve saatlik sinirlari dusuktur.
- Kendini durustce tanitir: User-Agent,
RateSignalBot/<surum>ve bu sayfanin adresinden olusur. - Engeli, CAPTCHA'yi veya bot kontrolunu asmaya calismaz. Bir site engellerse durur ve bekler.
Yavaslatma veya engelleme
